About Coin-Op Kingdom: Retro Arcade Tycoon

Step behind the counter of a glowing 1980s arcade in Coin-Op Kingdom: Retro Arcade Tycoon, a free 3D pixel-art tycoon game you play in your browser. Team up with Rex, a raccoon manager in a striped shirt and cap, to build pinball tables, racer cabs, shooter cabinets, claw machines, air hockey, dance pads, snack bars, prize counters, jukeboxes and neon decor. Visitors line up, play, drop coins and leave as fans, if you keep the queues short and the machines running!

Tap machines to grab coin piles before they show FULL, send Rex running over with his wrench when a cabinet starts smoking, upgrade your best earners and set ticket prizes to grow your hype. Across 24 days the hall gets bigger and opens an upstairs mezzanine, with new goals for cash, fans, variety and angry walkouts. Choose Easy, Medium or Hard, and play with a mouse and keyboard on desktop or with taps, drag and pinch on mobile.

How to Play Coin-Op Kingdom: Retro Arcade Tycoon

Goal: Meet every day's goals before closing time: earn $X, reach N fans, own K machine types and stay under the angry-walkout limit. Then press CLOSE DAY, or keep earning until the bell for more stars.

  1. Desktop: click a machine in the bottom toolbar (or press 1-0), then click a floor tile to build. R turns the machine, right-click or Q cancels. Click a machine to collect its coins or repair it, or to open its panel when it has nothing to collect (U upgrade, X sell). T changes ticket prizes. Drag to pan the camera and use the mouse wheel to zoom.
  2. Mobile: tap a toolbar button, then tap a tile to build. Tap machines to collect, repair or open the upgrade/sell panel. Drag to pan and pinch to zoom.
  3. Coins: players drop coins into machines. A FULL machine stops earning until you collect.
  4. Repairs: broken machines smoke and show a wrench. Tap them and Rex runs over to fix them.
  5. Hype & fans: variety, decor, the jukebox, generous prizes and short queues raise hype, which brings more visitors and extra fans. Angry walkouts cost fans.
  6. Levels: 24 days. The hall grows, and from Day 13 there is an upstairs mezzanine. New machines unlock along the way, and every 4th day is a "no angry walkouts" day. Stars depend on how far you beat the cash and fan goals.
  7. Difficulty: Easy, Medium and Hard change visitor patience, breakdown rate, prices, goals and the walkout limit.
