Clear pit counts, helpful guidance, sound effects and saved progress make it easy to return for one more round beneath the baobab tree.
How to Play Baobit: Seedkeeper's Mancala
Goal: finish with more seeds in your store than your opponent. Your six pits form the near row; your store is on the right.
Tap or click a nonempty pit on your side, or press its number key (1–6), to pick up all its seeds. Sow one seed into each following pit, including your own store, while skipping the opponent’s store. If your final seed lands in your store, you get another turn. If it lands in an empty pit on your side and the opposite pit holds seeds, capture those seeds and your final seed into your store.
When either row is empty, the other player collects all seeds remaining on their side. The larger store wins; equal stores are a draw.
Start with Seed Trials to explore short tactical positions, or choose a Full Match for a fresh board. Each of the three groves has 36 trials: Sapling (Easy), Canopy (Medium) and Baobab (Hard). Select a difficulty to change the computer’s strength. Read the pit counts and plan for extra turns. Route lens previews a sowing route; press Enter to confirm a preview. H requests a hint, U undoes a move and R restarts. Use the sound button to mute or unmute effects. Progress is saved on this device.
