Welcome to
the lantern garden.

Help a red-panda lanternkeeper clear a garden of ivory and jade tiles in Mahjong solitaire.

1. Look for a free tile. Nothing sits above it, and its left or right side is open.
2. Match its complete symbol. Pair two free tiles with the same picture and one-dot or two-dot mark.
3. Uncover the next layer. Clear every pair to light the garden.

Every starting arrangement can be cleared. Undo and reset are free; hints are here when you want a little guidance.

Read the garden’s layers.

A tile is free when no higher tile covers any of its face and at least one horizontal side—left or right—is open. A tile with both sides blocked cannot be removed yet.

Select two free tiles with the same picture and dot mark. One-dot and two-dot versions are different symbols. An unmatching choice simply selects the new tile; it costs no life or time.

Higher tiles hide the faces beneath them. Clearing a pair opens space and can reveal new matches. The deeper paths use repeated symbols, so the pair you choose can matter.

Each of the three paths has 36 arrangements. The first three are compact introductions; later gardens add tiles and layers. Every starting deal has a complete clearing route.

If a route becomes stuck, Undo restores a pair exactly, and Reset restores the whole original arrangement. A hint searches for a pair that belongs to a complete clearing route. There is no shuffle and no clock.

Earn three stars without hints, two with one hint, or one with more. Your best stars and unlocked arrangements are saved separately for each path on this device.
